the trial?

will i be doing the trial today? that would be best for me but its not really up to me is it

No its not really up to you actually. If you've reached the stage crusader initiate it does not mean that you will have the trial the next day or week. Though I dont know if your trial has been announced yet. You still have to prove that you're worth it in this stage and it does not automatically mean that you will really gain the rank Crusader.
But again, I dont know what decision the council made when your trial will be.

Edit: ye and in general, asking for ranks is kinda... weird... ranks are given out to people who earn them

Trials are usually spur the moment. Sadly I have a moderately unpredictable schedule, and I like to be there for things like this. Usually when I'm on (which I usually am available) and we have enough Crusaders for the trial to be held, we'll have it. But keep in mind, we're short on veteran at this stage in Acre, so...
