As the title says, post themes/soundtracks from your favorite classic games. (Try to not put realy old themes , like pre 21st century. [for example 8 bit or something] )

Going through the YT and feeling excited about BF3 i just stood for a while and I did listen to this masterpiece and a small tear drops down from my eye.

This was the one I had planned to post actually. Morrowind still holds a place in my heart for having the ultimate intro music.

...That said, there's a section in the original Halo that involved this track that I adore for it's smooth bass. Sure, the game itself may kinda suck, but some of the music really is quite good, and this is the best of the first.

Portal 2 is, surprisingly a game where both musical tracks count as crowning music of awesome in my opinion. Firstly, the ending theme, obviously... This one was a little more upbeat than the original, but I love the electronic samples for the verses... But in addition, the hidden track from The National definately qualifies, fitting the melencoly, hopeless feel of the portal test chamber it's placed in.

Come to think of it, there's another one. While this might not be classic, there is a LOT of music from the final fantasy series that would qualify as awesomesauce. Let's take Ten, for example. While the prelude is one of the worst reimaginings, a couple that stand out. The first bar you hear for instance, that continues into "To Zanarkand", which is one of the most emotion scores in gaming (The youtube comments alone support this). Or for a less whimpy view, there's also the upbeat theme from the blitzball minigame, containing a bassline that I really do believe is impossible to play with a single bass guitar.

There's a lot of pretty impressive music out there, if you bother to listen. Iconic tunes that set the tone for a game, that stay with you long after you think you've forgotten them. The theme from Ons_Torlan, the background music when loading a MEC map in Battlefield 2, the menu music from Age of Empires 2...

Think back. You know a few.
